A famous Japanese garden that shows the beauty of the four seasons

Sankeien is a Japanese garden opened by Sankei Hara, a successful businessman in the silk trade. Valuable old buildings from Kamakura and Kyoto have been relocated to the beautiful Japanese garden of over 170,000 square meters. Sankei Hara, who was also an art enthusiast, was instrumental in fostering emerging artists. Many painters, such as Taikan Yokoyama and Seison Maeda, gathered and famous paintings were born here.
